I had a Puffle already and have loved it (so much so that I bought a second to give myself a super-flexible 2 layer system to handle temps from down to about 10F with total comfort). Based on my complete satisfaction with those purchases, I decided to give the Pufflo+ a try when I saw a sale on them. I've tried a lot of camp pillows, but my other inflatables don't have enough padding to make my ear(s) comfortable when side-sleeping. This pillow fixes that issue for me -- there is just enough padding to make it comfortable, while not so much as to make it bulky when packed. Love the super soft fabric the Sierra Madre uses on their gear, too. Very pleased with my Sierra Madre gear!
We purchased 2 55 degree puffles .
We love them. So light and warm, We want to get 2 more to take camping.
I have two of these now. Puppy and I are cozy warm on cold nights.
I was thinking the warmth would be stronger. Arms feel cold. Needed instructions with battery connecting, but good video sent.
We had been on the fence about camping blankets and finally decided to give these a chance with the BOGO deal and with how versatile they seemed to be. We got the 40 degree synthetic and they really stood up to the crisp cold night in our tent! We ended up having to push them off of us at one point with how warm they kept us! Customer service was also amazing with my request for 2 different colors when the BOGO deal only offered 2 of the same. We are thrilled with our Puffles, thank you!
Warm beyond its thickness. Fits nicely with room for a light layer or down sweater underneath. The inner elbow mesh tends to be a little cool on windy days, so I layer over with a windbreaker or under with a more wind proof layer. Great ROM. No pulling across chest or shoulders. Sleeves are lengthy (I have ape arms) and still cover the wrist when arm is fully extended. Thumb slashes well placed and the little finger windbreakers get used on dog walks a lot. Waist pockets are roomy and easily accessed. Chest pockets have more discreet zipper pulls to keep the lines of the jacket clean. I have to take off my gloves to access. But perfect for phone in the urban setting or a power bar and maps when trekking. I’ve been out in a moderate rain and remained warm and dry. The hood fits well over my large bonce and easily takes a heavy toque underneath. This is now a go to jacket when layering for Alberta -30C winters.
Just received my puffle quilts. Haven’t had a chance to use yet as winter is just getting here but seem well made. Great feel to the fabric. Excited to try out in the wild. Seems like it will be warm. Might wish I would have gotten the expander for wider width up top., since other reviews say it’s great for side sleepers. We will see 😁 overall, it looks great.
Haven't taken it camping yet, but it takes like 5 seconds to inflate. Just laying on it, it's super comfortable. I recommend.
I have not had the opportunity to actually camp with this little treasure yet but I have tried it out in my chilly home. The heat is lovely! Two areas of heat that correspond nicely to areas that need warming. And, the Hot Pocket is soft, comfortable yet sturdy. I can't wait to try it around the campfire (on the side of me away from the fire!) or in my tent at the next chilly campout. Thank you for a wonderful product.
I took my Puffle (20° synthetic) to my boat. I used it primarily as a quilt while sleeping down below. The temps were in the low 40s. I found the Puffle very comfortable, warm, and surprisingly not drafty. I also appreciate the moisture resistance. It is quite slippery though, so I think I may try snapping it around my lower legs or some other tactics to help keep it from sliding off while sleeping. It is excellent for wrapping up in and sitting in the cockpit while star-gazing. A nice addition to any boat or living room for that matter.
Size is great, it’s soft, warm, and soooo versatile! The zipper pocket is spot -on in thoughtfulness.
I would love to be able to snap it together end to end though, not just long side to long side. But honestly, if that’s as negative as it gets this thing is a game changer;)
Haven’t had the opportunity to test it at 20 degrees yet, but I have no doubt that it will not disappoint!
The expander is a great piece kit to have when you need a little bit of extra room up top for us side sleepers.
I do wish lightweight plastic YKK zippers were used for adding the expander to the puffle. The snaps are a bit weak for a side sleeper and unsnaps pretty easily.
Overall very pleased, including the one small negative. It works well.
I recently used my 20 degree 5 in 1 blanket on a hunting trip. We had night time temps varying from 25 to 40 degrees. Below 35 degrees, pending your level of self warmth, you may need to sleep in a medium, or heavy merino base layer. I stayed plenty warm with a light base layer bottom and med weight base layer top.
No actual pic of my puffle in the wild, but here is our camp.
The finish of the overall product is great..
I often get cold with tent camping which makes it very difficult to sleep. This product keeps my feet or my chest warm which helps me get to sleep quickly. If I need to exit my tent in the middle of the night- I can quickly get warm again when I get back into my sleeping bag. Love this product!
Great taste. Plenty of food. Stay with the 1 cup they suggest but boil a little extra water. I had to add an ounce to an ounce and a half street it was cooked so it wasn't so sticky.
Inferno is our complete warmth system.
