Why does international shipping cost $25?
Our international shipping is based on the weight of your order rather than location. Most of our packages ship standard international ground for around $25 (the amount for Ember + Power Pack UL). Depending on the weight it, shipping could be more or less! If your shipping cost ends up being substantially less than what you paid for we will be sure to reimburse you. However, if you order more we will not charge you extra shipping. We are working towards international distribution but are not scaled large enough to achieve this, YET 😁
If I select Expedited Shipping will Ember be delivered sooner than May?
No, Ember will not be finished manufacturing so it won't be physically possible to send before May.

Power Pack FAQ
Which power pack does Ember come with?
If your Reward included a Power Pack, you'll automatically receive the UL so just leave that option selected. If you'd like to upgrade to the XL, you can do that on this page! It will add $59 to your order, and the XL will replace your UL Power Pack.
Is there a battery indicator that will let us know the charge life of our Power Pack?
Yes, there is a battery life indicator located on the front of the Power Pack underneath the Sierra Madre symbol. There will be 5 indicator dots that will glow accordingly based on the charge life so you will know how much juice you have left!
What is the battery voltage and mah for both Power Packs?
UL capacity is 11000mah
XL capacity is 22000mah
When it comes to the PD (Power Delivery) Technology there are a few things to understand. There are a lot of 5v batteries in the world touting massive mAH, however that doesn't tell the whole story, most of these batteries have very low Watt output (like 5 watts or less). Our batteries have a 60watt output, which allows for lightning fast charging and huge power distribution to Ember or Hot Pocket. This is a must when you are using energy to heat your sleeping bag or your core.
USBC PD batteries have the ability to vary voltage, so rather than being a 5v only battery it allows you to have: 5v, 9v, 12v, 15v 20v. This is the big differentiator for the Power Pack!

Can I purchase the Ember without the Power Pack and use my own battery source?
Yes, if you had previously backed the Hot Pocket and have one of our Power Packs they are synonymous. If you have your own personal battery that is USBC PD compatible, by all means feel free to use it as a secondary battery, however you'll miss out on two key features.
- Our Power Packs have a single port output of 60watts, this gives Ember and Hot Pocket the power you need to FEEL the heat! (check that single port output)
- Our Power Packs have a physical connection to keep your plug secure and locked in place - meaning it won't wiggle loose in the future.

Solar System FAQ
How does the solar panel work?
The solar base intakes the sun's rays and converts them into energy to charge your Power Pack! ☀️The solar base includes a USBC power connection for unrivaled power distribution! When you add a Solar Link, it increases your charging capacity by 7 watts. You can add up to 5 additional Links!
What is the purpose of adding additional solar links?
Each additional Link boosts your power production by 7 watts (you can add up to 5 Links or 42 watts) and adds only 8.7 ounces (per Link) to the overall system weight.
How do the Solar Links connect together?
Powerful magnets on the Solar Base and Solar Links allow you to connect the base to multiple links. These connection points transfer electricity and give you a solid connection. The magnets also let you attach to the outside of your car or tent for optimal sun exposure.
This design is patent pending.
This design is patent pending.
Why is the Solar System special?
This is the first time you've ever been able to buy a modular / scalable Solar panel system. Current systems require you to buy single power options, they do not allow you to adapt your charging needs to your adventure.
Ex. On a backpacking trip you'd want the Solar Base and 1 Solar Link, very lightweight and will provide a good boost of power while hiking.
On a car camping trip you'd want the Solar Base and 5 Solar Links so that you can charge your devices extremely fast. In this instance weight is less of an issue.
The Solar System allows you to adjust your charging needs to your adventure!

How long does it take for the solar panel to charge my Power Pack?
There are many variables to this question. The solar panels are meant to give you extra charge when you're out in the wild. The base of the solar panel boosts your power by ~7 watts with each additional solar panel link giving you an added ~7 watts. Determining how much charge your solar panel will provide all depends on the watts and the amount of sunlight the panels take in.
Example: We estimate that a base and a link (14 watts) would require 10 hours of sunlight to fully recharge the Power Pack UL. If you add two more links (28 watts) it cuts the time in half (approximately).

Do I have to have a Solar Link to go along with the Solar Base?
No, the Solar Links are an optional add-on to your Solar Base. The Solar Base will provide you with 7 watts of charging power right out of the box! However, each Solar Link will provide an additional 7 watts, without adding much weight—so you may want to stock up while you can get them at backer-only survey prices!
Can the solar panel be used to charge other devices?
Yes! The solar panel has USBC connectivity. This means unrivaled power transfer and compatibility with the Sierra Madre Power Packs and many current and future electronic devices.

Puffle 40° & 55° FAQ
What is the difference between the Puffle 55ºF and the Puffle 40ºF?
The Puffle 55º is comfort rated to 55º F and is only available in synthetic fill. This makes it great for those warmer weather adventures when you need to stay warm and comfy, but don't need too much insulation. It's also super light and compressible! Weighing in at just 19 ounces and packing to about the size of a cantaloupe, the Puffle 55º is an incredible companion for any adventure.
The Puffle 40º is available in 650 fill power goose-down which boosts the warmth without sacrificing weight and compressibility. Whether you're using it as a sleeping bag, or just to wrap up in at a football game, the Puffle 40º provides the utmost warmth and protection when temperatures drop!
Both Puffles are water resistant which makes for easy clean-up of accidental spills.
BOTTOM LINE:
The Puffle 40º is available in 650 fill power goose-down which boosts the warmth without sacrificing weight and compressibility. Whether you're using it as a sleeping bag, or just to wrap up in at a football game, the Puffle 40º provides the utmost warmth and protection when temperatures drop!
Both Puffles are water resistant which makes for easy clean-up of accidental spills.
BOTTOM LINE:
- If you've ever pleaded with management to raise the thermostat because the office felt like a refrigerator...
- Your camping season starts when everyone else is hiding from the cold...
- You've ever frozen your nubs off at late-fall football game or in a tree stand...
You need a Puffle! The version you bring home all depends on how warm and toasty you need to be.
How does the Puffle work?
It works in much the same way that a mother hen protects her chicks... When the temperature drops, the Puffle comes out and wraps you in a lush, comfy cushion of insulating fill. Cold air is blocked, body heat is trapped, and you dodge the hypothermia blues!
- You can use it as a super comfy and insulated blanket
- As an underquilt for your hammock with the included Underquilt Kit
- Snap it together and cinch up the air-tight draft collars at each end to make a sleeping bag
- Or, if you're feeling sassy and want to look great, wear it like a poncho for a night out on the town!
The skies the limit with the Puffle! But even that's questionable, come to think of it... It's also pretty great for air travel 😉
What is the difference between Synthetic and Down?
Synthetic is completely vegan meaning no animal products. Down is a natural insulator recovered from Geese which compacts and compresses better than synthetic. We use RDS certified Goose Down that is water proof. Both provide extreme warmth and comfort when the temperature drops!
Are the Puffles waterproof?
The Puffles are made with a 20D Hydrashield Fabric. Translation: Both versions of the Puffle will stand up to moisture and are easy to clean, but they are not fully waterproof. However, this is actually a good thing! Whenever you have an insulating layer that sits close to the skin, breathability is key. If condensation from your warm body couldn't escape, you'd have yourself a tropical rainforest kind of environment that would be no fun to sleep in 😆
Is the Puffle a slippery fabric? Will it tend to slide off?
The Puffle is made out of a buttery-soft, weather resistant material that does not slide off easily. We’ve even attached buttons so you can clasp your blanket together to help prevent sliding and provide extra heat trapping power!
What are the measurements of each when in the blanket position?
Both dimensions for the Puffle 55º and the Puffle 40º in blanket position are 52 X 80 in. Ideal max height is 6ft 4inches or under!
You can connect the Puffles together?
Yes! The Puffles have closure snaps on the edges letting you link them together creating one huge Puffle! You can also stack them together for extra insulation 😊
Which Puffle Degree is right for me?
Camping above 55 degrees? Puffle 55°
Camping below 55 degrees? Puffle 40°
Camping below 55 degrees? Puffle 40°
Can I add one of each Puffle color?
We won't stop you. Feel free to add all of our amazing colors!

Can I purchase the Hot Pocket without the Power Pack and use my own battery source?
Yes, if you had previously backed the Hot Pocket and have one of our Power Packs they are synonymous. If you have your own personal battery that is USBC PD compatible, by all means feel free to use it as a secondary battery, however you'll miss out on two key features.
- Our Power Packs have a single port output of 60watts, this gives Ember and Hot Pocket the power you need to FEEL the heat! (check that single port output)
- Our Power Packs have a physical connection to keep your plug secure and locked in place - meaning it won't wiggle loose in the future.

Power Pack FAQ
Which Power Pack does Ember or Hot Pocket come with?
If your Reward included a Power Pack, you'll automatically receive the UL, now's a good time to add a second Power Pack in either UL or XL. If your reward didn't include a Power Pack you can add one or two here.
