I got the 0-degree underquilt for my use in the rockies of CO, WY, and UT because it can often get very cold even in the summer. I have not been disappointed! Twice now in June - once in the Sierra Madres in WY and then in South Park in CO I encountered plummeting temps (into the low 20s and teens) along with sleet and tgen SNOW, and of all my party, I was the one who slept through the night and didn't get cold at all. I can't recommend the inferno more highly! I've already bought the 30-degree top quilt for some more flexibility than the puffles as well. I'll probably get the zero degree top quilt for my winter excursions too!! BUY. THIS. THING.
You won't regret it!
This might be the best under quilt ever
It’s warm and fits really snug couldn’t be more happy with it.
I absolutely love the 30 degree Inferno Under quilt. I just ordered my first one and I’m sold on it. I love the design on how it wraps around your hammock and locks in the warm air, even on a cold windy night where a lot of under quilts Iv used in the past don’t provide that! Totally worth the buy!!!!
Finally got to hook up my inferno under quilt and I love it! Keeps the breeze from freezing me at night and is super comfortable!
Just got to test the Inferno 30 degree underquilt and the Gear Stash this past weekend. We hiked 8 miles to Paradise Lake, California. The Inferno is light and comfy, with easy adjustable straps on the side to pull up the underquilt without getting out of my hammock. The only down side of the quilt is I don't think it's exactly rated to 30 degrees. The ambient low temperature for the night was 32 degrees and I woke up a couple of times with a cold booty. Also, upon unpacking the quilt, there were a couple of loose threads and loose stitching in some places. Easily alleviated with a pair of scissors. All in all, the underquilt is 4/5 stars. I really like the lightweight material, the style, and color.
The gear stash is great! I kept my backpack underneath. I was able to access whatever I needed from my bag without getting out of my hammock.
