I sleep full time in my Pares hammock so instead of unhooking and reconfiguring, I purchased the xPlor to nap and hang in my Stratos bug shield, and for day hiking lunch and scenic overlook hanging. It works like a dream and is very comfortable for napping although I would never give up my Pares for full time all night sleeping. I was on my way home from a monthlong adventure and had my Nube, winter barrier, Pares, xPlor, and Stratos bug shield with me. Friends asked that I stop at a campground and visit on the way home and...since I am retired...why not. The campground was lovely so I set up between trees and because it was expected to drop into the low 30's, I used the winter barrier and the xPlor as an insulator. After hanging the Pares, I simply clipped the xPlor right underneath, added a car blanket and synthetic quilt, and then in the Pares a sleeping bag and fleece blanket. I wore a fleece hoodie and socks over my pjs and slept WARM and comfy all night. My friends...in their new $30,000.00 RV complained of a restless night, furnace kicking on and off, and a mattress that was less than optimal. And they were worried about ME....it is all so easy to set up and pack up. I was up and out in 20 minutes (with coffee), my friends took over two hours to pack up, breakdown, and hook up the RV. I love all of my SMR equipment. It is well made and perfect for multiple uses.
