Our Primary Mission: Create Comfort For Wildlings
Our Primary Differentiator: We Design Solutions, Not Margins
Our Company "WHY": We Put People First In Ever Facet Of Our Company
How we manufacture our gear (Better Than Fair Wages), is just as important as what we do with our Profits (Funding Clean Drinking Water Projects). In every facet we put people first, because taking care of people - takes care of everything else.
There's one final pillar that literally holds everything together. It's a principle that just about every gear company promises, but few actually deliver on. Not because they have ill intent - it's just really hard to actually do it.
Truth is, it's easier (and cheaper) to only sew in one seam instead of two, to not put bartacks in at every stress point, and not reinforce every tension point.
These increase costs and require specialized equipment.
In order to make sure we had the money to invest in all of these added steps, we cut out the middle man and killed the "Big Box" mentality. So we can use the best materials and construction processes and make our gear bullet proof* (you know what I mean).
We call it HYPER QUALITY
Quality that goes much, much deeper than just well done construction - it's quality incorporated into every facet of every millimeter of our gear. Design, materials, construction, process, and appearance all factor into Hyper Quality.
We literally tension test the very threads that hold every seam in our products together (7.4lbs is how much one thread holds, in case you're wondering).
And yes every seam is double stitched. Every stress point is bartacked. Every tension point is reinforced. It costs us more, but at this point we've all learned that you get what you pay for, esp. with gear.
Being able to trust your gear and depend on the company behind it makes all the difference when you're 5 years down the road from your purchase.
Our customers back this up everyday, we still have hundreds of first run Nubé MKI's in the wild (these were launched in 2013) regularly we get emails and messages from Wildlings who are ecstatic that their gear is still functioning like the first time they set it up.
