Five years of Ninox comfort!

Another great nights' sleep in my Ninox hammock. Underquilt, Puffle and rainfly complete the system. Shown here on the Chattooga river in north Georgia. Persistent rain overnight but all dry here! The latest purchase was the Puffle which made the biggest difference in comfort versus a way-to-tight sleeping bag.

Hi there, thank you for your amazing review and for being a loyal Ninox customer for the past five years! We are thrilled to hear that you continue to enjoy a comfortable night's sleep in our hammock, even in the midst of persistent rain. Our underquilt, Puffle, and rainfly definitely make a difference in keeping you dry and cozy. We appreciate your support and hope you continue to have many more happy adventures with your Ninox setup. Happy hammocking!

Very spacious and comfortable!

This is an absolutely wonderful hammock. I am able to hang my fan and little gear sling off the adjustable ridgeline and not feel cramped. This hammock hangs low which isn’t a problem for me cuz I’m tall enough 6’2” to fix my straps high enough without any problems. I love how much more room I have compared to other 11’ hammocks I feel this was very worth the money. I only wish they had the rain fly available or a time line when they would restock them.

Thank you for your wonderful review of our Ninox Ultr-Comfy FlatLay Hammock! We are thrilled to hear that you found it spacious and comfortable. We are also glad that you were able to hang your fan and gear sling off the adjustable ridgeline without feeling cramped.

We understand that the height of the hammock may have been a concern for some of our taller customers, but we are happy to know that it was not an issue for you. We appreciate your feedback and are constantly working to improve our products. We will definitely take your suggestion into consideration and look into restocking the rain fly or providing a timeline for its availability.

Thank you again for choosing our hammock and for sharing your experience with us. We hope to continue providing you with products that meet your needs and exceed your expectations.

Camping game changer

As a lifelong camper, I have always enjoyed everything about living outside…except the sleep. I’ve tried every conceivable way to achieve a comfortable sleep, but ‘adequate’ is as good as I’ve been able to get. 5 years ago, I received a Ninox Flat-lay as a gift, and knew the second I got into it that the game had changed. I quickly worked to trick out my rig, and now have the entire ensemble needed for comfortable outdoor living. My standard set-up is the Ninox and rain fly, Puffle, and Stratos shelter (I know it’s not designed for the Ninox but I was able to easily retrofit it myself), and I will typically get about 10-14 nights/yr in it. It has been through torrential storms without a drop of water getting in, and the rain fly allows for air to move freely through the unit as well as maintaining views outside…something not found in the tent world. I love every second. There is definitely a learning curve, but once you get it figured out, it will be by far the best sleep you’ve had camping. At 50 years of age, getting up without being sore is something I can’t even get in my bed at home, but I spring out of the Ninox in the morning feeling refreshed from a deep sleep, and bounce around like a teenager with no soreness at all. I’m considering getting one for in the house as well.

Wow, best sleep ever

Between civilian camping and military bivouac I've been camping most of my life. In this time I've used a ton of different tents, sleeping mats, cots, and sleeping bags. Years ago I tried a surplus military jungle hammock but did not know how the set up or sleep in it, so it was a disaster. Over the past two years I started trying to use hammocks again after buying a cheap one of amazon. While looking at thing to improve that $40 hammock I stumbled onto the Sierra Madre site. After reading reviews and researching I settled on the Ninox. I recently took it into the Ozark mountains for a long weekend. I am impressed! I slept better than I do in my bed at home. This thing is great! The design and features are brilliant. Set-up is fast and easy, everything is where it should be and already attached. I was sad when I had to take it down and return home. I cant wait to use it more.

Puffle Review

First impression is QUALITY! I love how large it is and as a guy over 6 feet tall it is PERFECT! I can’t wait to get this out at my campsite but for now I will hang out at home with it.

Even the cat likes it

As South Floridians, we learned to take the 55° rating seriously. It doesn't mean 54°. We bring out a 40° Puffle quilt for cooler nights. In addition its service camping, though, these quilts are lovely on the bed in the winter. Our cat regards them as the greatest thing since tuna.

Hi there, thank you for leaving such a great review! We're glad to hear that both you and your cat are enjoying our Puffle 55°F camping quilt. We definitely understand the importance of taking temperature ratings seriously, especially in South Florida. We're also happy to hear that our quilts have found a home on your bed during the colder months. Thank you for choosing our product and we hope you continue to enjoy it for many more outdoor adventures and cozy nights at home. Happy camping!

Great product and customer service!

I have had my 55 degree puffel for over a year now. I have used it for at least 3 month in that span. I used it as a sleeping bag when traveling around Alaska for work. After a while my rough feet started to make tiny holes letting the down come out. I sent a couple pictures to the customer service department and they sent me a brand new replacement for free! I now own 4 puffels all in different colors and temperature ratings. My boys and wife love them for camping, fires, and even movie nights. Would highly recommend!!

Versatile

I own a 55°F and a 40°F will be getting the 20°F and the 0°F in the future. I have also purchased 5 more 55°F for my girlfriend, mom, sister, mother-in-law, and father-in-law. Nothing else is this well-made and multifunctional on the market. It is expensive but worth it. You want a deal the subscribe to there email and wait. But be ready they can sell out fast. One of my favourite pieces of kit. Great to leave in car, take backpacking, you will not find a better multifunctional Quilt. Pic is my Haven hammock XL and I use this as a quilt in it and have the best sleep ever. I run hot and was able to use the 55°F as a top quilt and 40°F as a under quilt at -12°C in the winter I was not cold. I used just the 55°F as a top quilt in summer 30°C day and 10°C at night in the pic you see.
