Best winter bag!

I bought the top quilt for my winter start of my AT thru hike, had it sent back from home when I reached Vermont. This sleeping bag did not disappoint!! It got down in the singles a few nights, and I was PLENTY warm, and very durable! The hood with the cinch cord to cover your face really comes in handy too. Worth every penny.

It did have a funny smell when it arrived but it aired out fairly quickly.

Inferno Insulation System

I truly love the Inferno system; especially how the top quilt basically fits around you. I have both the 30 and 0 degree set and have not been disappointed. Highly recommend this system!

A cozy surprise for an old guy

I figured I’d put this to the test with my Dad. I took him on his first ever hammock overnighter and to be honest I was a little nervous. It was his 65th birthday weekend and I wanted to make sure the old guy slept well and was warm. Dad had the Pares hammock with Puffle 40’ and the inferno underquilt. Granted we are in Florida but it did drop down to 55’f overnight. At one point he was snoring like a bull gator and woke up refreshed. His first words, “wow I slept cozy.” We had a cool fog roll in with a little moisture and dew so the Puffle and inferno both got damp. But the dew just rolls off and drys out in time to pack up. Inferno for the win - giving the birthday guy a great night sleep so he wasn’t grouchy for kayaking the next day. Confession though: I was thinking I wouldn’t keep the inferno since I’m in Florida but I really am jealous of his good nights sleep. I think I’m going to have to keep it now.

Perfect fit!

I don’t fit anything built for the outdoors as I’m 5’7” 280lbs shoulders and chest. Figured at least with an open back design like this it might work. I needn’t have worried as the top is spacious and toasty. First trip out got caught in a thunderstorm strong enough to rip off my rain fly and drench my whole system. The duck down worked perfectly keeping me warm in spite of being wet and quickly dried from my body heat. I love what you’ve made and hope you keep it up!

"temps dropped into the 20’s, but I stayed toasty all night! Winter camping in my Ninox with the Inferno is a game changer!"
