  • How long does it take to inflate?

    If you are using the pump bag the Air Pad XL inflates in less than 30 seconds.

    If you are using the one-way valve and your lungs it should take around 45 seconds. 

  • Do I need to have a tarp or footprint under this pad?

    It's not required, we've used Air Pad XL without a footprint or tarp and had no issue. 

    If going this route, be sure to clear out any debris or sharp objects. 

    For maximum longevity it's always best to use a tarp or footprint under any camping pad.

For an air mattress, this is pretty comfortable! It held up great through all different terrain and weather. I wouldn’t say is warmer than others though. I backpacked for 6 nights in 35-45 degree temps. Even with a 20 degree comfort rated sleeping bag and a 55 degree puffle, I still felt the cold creeping up from where my body pressure was on the pad. I added a folding pad on top of the air mattress at the car camp site and the problem was solved-didn’t need the puffle for added warmth. Overall, I like this pad. Perfect for summer and warm camp nights. Consider an extra layer under 50 degrees if you despise being cold like me.

Side Sleepers Mat

Our camping trips usually consist of me getting 3 or 4 broken hours of sleep and waking up with hurting hips and back. I feel SO supported while laying on this mat. This mat also packs down so small and is extremely light! All around a great purchase!

Very comfortable!

The air pad was so comfortable! The campsite was packed down as hard as concrete and still slept soundly. :) It was easy to air up and to deflate. Packs down so small and light!
