The 3 Must Have's for Every Hammock Camper

1) Suspension

The first step to camping in the air, is suspending your hammock. Make sure you don't have to tie knots, they're a pain.

2) Under Quilt

Most campers know they need insulation to be warm, but Hammock Campers NEED an Under Quilt to fend off Cold Butt Syndrome!

3) Camp Pillow

A plush adjustable pillow in a hammock makes everything that much better. If you use one at home, you'll love it at camp.

First off, if you are moving on from some REI, EMS, or even Walmart, basic 2 person camp hammock with crappy straps and a make shift tarp, this thing is gonna blow your mind. Tons of room inside, I used the pole kit and rain fly as well, which really does make a huge difference in free space within the bug net, I’m 6’ @ 235lbs, I had no issues reaching the line organizer.

I don’t think I will need to purchase another shelter for the next 20 years, I’ll be passing this on to my little boys as they grow, and I get to upgrade to the newest SM shelter.

Thanks for putting out an excellent product, the attention to detail and design is easily noticed, well done.

Replaced my 4 year old double nest with a new ninox flat lay hammock and shelter .. have to say I’m more than pleased .. Uber awesome materials .. seemingly superior build quality .. insanely comfortable! Easy to set up .. love the room in the shelter that the poles add .. all in all I give SMR a major tip of the hat for a home run in the hammock camping world ! Can’t wait to get this setup on the pictured rocks trail for a six day hike at the end of September!!!

The Ninox Fly rocked it this weekend. Been using it for a while and this was the second time in a Big rainstorm. Both mornings woke up with dry gear and nothing on the underside of the tarp. I used to get a wet head of hair trying to get out from under the tarp most mornings. Very happy with the #NinoxFly

6 nights at 9000 feet all Sierra Madre'd out. I love the Ninox, but I love the Inferno more, by far the best system I've tried. All the scouts were complaining if being cold at night. I was nice and warm.

The Ninox was so comfortable, the lay was flat, as promised, and additionally my face and head was not swallowed in excess material like other hammocks. I could enter the hammock and be situated in seconds, warm, and enjoying a bug free view of all those stars!

I am hooked! I go winter camping every year with my buds and I never considered a hammock shelter until I saw the Ninox. I took the leap and spent my first three nights hanging in the Sinkyone Wilderness. It was epic! Best nights of sleep I’ve ever had while camping.
