Ninox

Just tried out the NINOX for the first time, and I really love it. I've been looking for a flat lay hammock for so long, and I'm buying the underquilt and straps to go with it. Can't wait to get back out there!

Thank you so much for the time and effort to send us this review with a 5-star rating, Jared. It means the world to us. Thank you for supporting Sierra Madre! :)

Asomely Comfy

Easy to set up and extremely comfy. Learned a little about the importance of an under quilt. Positive hammock camping experience.

Great add on

I recently added the Ninox Fly to my hammock setup. It creates a roomy dry space for my hammock and I don't worry about surprise rain or dew. I appreciate all the small pockets to store the cords and the pouch for stakes.

Thanks for sending us this review with a 5-star rating. It means the world to us. We appreciate your support! :)

Poles of Paradise

Not only did the poles for the fly provide the extra space under the tarp as advertised they also enhanced my sleeping experience while in my hammock as well! The durable material used throughout the entire structure paid dividends by keeping my gear and I secure and protected from the elements overnight. I can't rave about Sierra Madre enough. The poles took the Nynox and Fly from performance to Paradise!

Thank you so much for the time and effort to send us this review with a 5-star rating, Angelo. It means the world to us. Thank you for supporting Sierra Madre! :)

Where was this when I was a Boy Scout?

In south Louisiana, we have rain, skeeters, no-see-ums, & heat. This shelter would have been ideal for so many of our camping & canoeing adventures. Easy set up, keep gear off wet ground, bugs out & allows air to flow through. Love this

First solo setup by my daughter

My daughter Addie, (16 years old) asked to take the Nube' with her to the Lake on the 4th of July weekend. She has seen me put it up a few times, but not on her own yet. She was going to stay at a cabin with friends and want to sleep outside in the Nube'. Everyone else was amazed that she could put it up by herself and I would let her go alone. This is such a great hammcock tent system we just love it! Addie sent me this pic below at first setup. She raised the Nube's about a foot to get if off the ground. She also took the XPlor, hot pocket, light link and puffalo. Everything fit inside the hot pocket xl. Cheers

That's awesome, Steve! Your daughter is impressive! Thank you for trusting the Sierra Madre gear! :)

SCUBA Camping at Fox Island, Alaska!

Super quick and easy setup... Which meant I was waiting on everybody else to finish setting up camp before we could start SCUBA diving!

Everything stayed in place even with the soil being mostly rocks under a quarter inch of dirt. Didn't have any significant rain, but did have 5ish mph winds. And now that I've scouted this area a bit better, I'm going to need a hammock next!

Great photo! Thanks for sending us a 5-star review, Ryan. It means the world to us. We appreciate your support! :)

Sold on Puffles

I purchased a 40 degree puffle a few months ago as an alternative to a traditional bag; and it was a game changer. So when I saw that an upcoming campout was supposed to get down below freezing - I purchased the 20 degree version and was not disappointed. With windchill, it hit the mid 20s, and I was sweating in my hammock and had to let in some cooler air (which was so much easier than it would have been in a traditional mummy bag). Most importantly, I slept like a rock under the quilt. I'm definately a quilt convert after my puffle experience.

Practical Review

I've been meaning to leave another review having now used my Puffle on a couple of wild camping trips.

The difference in the quality of sleep I'm getting with the Puffle, over my old 'Mummy' sleeping bag is incredible.

I've had some of the best night's sleep I've ever had when camping!

Thank you again for a great product.

Too cozy! Too warm! (It's a good thing!)

Back last summer, I did my first hammock camping in about 30 years. What a difference great gear makes! My earlier experience was back during a Boy Scout summer camp with a basic cargo net style hammock and only a sleeping bag. I was cold all night and woke up with a stiff and sore back. Fast forward to last summer... As I only had a single Puffle 55 at that time, I used it for my underquilt and draped my sleeping bag over me to use as a top quilt. About halfway thru the night I had to drop it down to my waist as I was overheating. And that night was a windy and rainy night... In our little group, I was the only one off the ground in my Nube shelter w/ Pares hammock, and I was the only one that didn't get soaking wet or had their tent try and blow away with them it! Well... except for the one gal that sets up her tent inside another tent! The hardest part for me was getting up, I was just too comfortable!

So, if you like your camping trips to be cold and miserable, you should look elsewhere! You won't get that experience with the Puffles, they are just too warm! And the reason for that is that the temperature rating is based on "comfort" instead of "survivability!" (Seriously, this should be on the main page for each puffle instead of buried in the gear hub!)

Thank you so much for the time and effort to send us this review with a 5-star rating, Ryan. It means the world to us. Thank you for supporting Sierra Madre! :)
